Breaking the Fast

Did you know that your body is repairing itself at night and casting out toxins? It is important to drink water first thing in the morning to help flush those toxins out. In the 6-8 hours that you are asleep, your are fasting. When you are waking up, tell yourself, “It is time to break my fast.” As you were sleeping your stomach has gotten smaller so when it’s time to eat in the morning ask yourself “how am I going to open my stomach up? What foods are going to be beneficial to my body?” The traditional breakfast is just going to stretch your stomach out. A heavy breakfast can result in feeling tired and groggy. Eat foods in the morning that are going to help remove toxins from your body, like fruit, vegetables and water.
